Dave Vanable works in enterprise services sales for Xerox, has been married to his beautiful wife for nearly 25 years, and has two fantastic boys who are now amazing young men. Ways he spends his time when he is not working include VP www.LifeStreamRochester.com where they make a difference in several hundred people’s lives every year, enjoying an 81-year-old Model A Ford pickup, and getting out to see Bruce Springsteen play live music any time he can make it happen.
When was the first time you heard about Kachingle? What were your thoughts about it?
First heard about Kachingle about two years ago, and I loved the idea – traditional media was breaking down, and a new model was needed. How to monetize content so we could continue to enjoy it when and where we needed it seemed like a critical feature of this century.
What is your favorite feature of Kachingle?
I only have to click once to Kachingle a site.
Which are your favourite sites?
Where do I go regularly? BackStreets.com for Springsteen news, maps.google.com when I travel, and espn.com is my guilty pleasure.
Any thoughts on getting the word out about Kachingle?
Tell everyone, because old world media is going away, and ads probably won’t carry the day.
Do you think the world is ready for saving the Open Web? Or is it too early? Or are people too selfish?
NPR is making it – by hook or by crook – so the web needs to find a way to make it too.
Why do you love Kachingle?
Kachingle is about keeping useful information and applications available, and paying people for their work. Just Do It!
