We are having a series of meetings with PayPal to discuss how they could make their system more suitable for micropayments and our marketplace.
UPDATE MAY 7: Had another great meeting with PayPal. They are committed to making the world a better place for micropayments! More details soon.
There are several topics already on our agenda:
- reducing the transaction costs
- direct flow from/to bank accounts
- German market adoption of PayPal
I would appreciate any feedback/suggestions on these or other topics, or your ideas on how to solve these issues!
Update May 3:

Hi Cynthia,
Please do more marketing! I love Kachingle, because it is so simple to grasp and adopt. But hardly anybody knows about it. flattr on the other hand still has lots of rough edges, its plugins are weird. But while I don’t see much growth in Kachingle lately, flattr buttons are popping up all over the place (at least on German blogs). I’d like both systems to thrive so that users have a choice wether they want to support a blog with one simple click (Kachingle) or individual blog posts (flattr). I’d be happy to publish an interview with you on my blog to help get this thing going.

Hi Ulrike – thanks for you comment. We are rolling out some marketing stuff shortly. I’d love to do an interview with you. Let’s talk.
Hi Cynthia,
great. I suppose we should best do this via Skype. Let’s work out the details via Email.
